1. Who We Are

Budgefy LLC operates Budgefy. You can contact us at support@budgefy.app.

This notice applies to the Budgefy website, app, free plan, Premium plan, Learn plan, courses, AI features, Plaid connection, representative onboarding, marketing messages, and support.

2. Information We Collect

• Account information such as name, email, login identifiers, profile settings, and support communications.
• Financial information such as account names, balances, transaction history, merchants, categories, debts, budgets, goals, net worth, strategy selections, and manually entered data.
• Plaid-linked account data after you choose to connect an account through Plaid.
• Uploaded documents, document metadata, extracted content, and analysis outputs when document features are used.
• AI prompts, anonymized financial context, generated budgets, strategy outputs, and AI interaction logs.
• Subscription and payment metadata such as Stripe customer ID, plan, renewal status, invoices, charge status, refund status, and payment metadata. Budgefy does not store full card numbers when Stripe handles card processing.
• Course and Learn plan data such as enrollments, progress, downloads, quiz responses, and related support messages.
• Representative program data such as representative identity, training status, onboarding activity, referrals or onboarded users, and payout metadata.
• Marketing, device, and usage information such as email or SMS opt-ins, unsubscribe status, campaign source, ad click IDs, conversion events, IP address, browser data, pages viewed, cookies, logs, analytics events, and pixel events.

3. Sources

• You and the information you enter into Budgefy.
• Plaid and linked financial institutions when you connect accounts.
• Stripe for billing and subscription processing.
• AI, analytics, advertising, authentication, hosting, email, SMS, support, and course vendors.
• Representatives, when they help onboard a user or submit authorized onboarding or support information.

4. How We Use Information

• Provide free budgeting, account, transaction, budget, debt, net-worth, strategy, AI, course, and support features.
• Sync, categorize, and display financial account and transaction data.
• Generate educational AI budgeting and strategy suggestions from anonymized context.
• Process payments, subscriptions, renewals, cancellations, taxes, accounting, and disputes through Stripe.
• Send transactional notices and marketing email or SMS where permitted.
• Measure campaigns and conversions with analytics and advertising partners.
• Secure Budgefy, prevent abuse, debug issues, maintain logs, enforce terms, and comply with law.

5. AI Processing

Budgefy uses AI providers through its configured AI routing. Budgefy is designed to send anonymized context for AI features and not the user's name from Budgefy.

Financial context, transaction details, prompts, uploaded PDFs, or audio may be sent to AI systems when the relevant AI, import, document, transcription, or analysis feature is used.

AI outputs are automated, may be inaccurate or incomplete, and are not financial, tax, legal, investment, credit, debt, or insurance advice.

6. Financial Data

Budgefy uses Plaid for bank sync. Connecting an account is voluntary, and users may unlink accounts.

Budgefy is not a bank, does not hold deposits, and does not sell stored in-app financial account data.

7. Advertising and Analytics Sharing

We do not sell your stored financial account data. We may disclose limited website or app event, device, cookie, and conversion information to analytics and advertising partners such as Google, Meta, and PostHog to measure and improve campaigns, unless you opt out where applicable.

Advertising and analytics partners may process event data under their own terms.

8. Cookies

Budgefy uses cookies and similar technologies to run the service, understand usage, remember preferences, secure accounts, and measure advertising or conversion performance.

9. Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to certain processing, withdraw consent, opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, analytics or ad cookies, and appeal certain decisions. Send requests to support@budgefy.app. We may need to verify your request.

10. Retention

• Account data is kept while the account is active or as needed for legal, security, backup, tax, accounting, and dispute purposes.
• Plaid-linked financial data and uploaded documents are kept while needed to provide the service and may be deleted or unlinked on request, subject to backups and legal retention.
• Stripe billing records may be retained for tax, accounting, legal, and dispute purposes.
• Marketing consent and opt-out records may be retained to prove consent and honor opt-outs.
• Representative records may be retained for program compliance, payouts, taxes, and disputes.

11. Children and Teens

Budgefy is intended for users who are at least 13. Users under 18 must have parent or guardian permission.
